Melissa was enjoying the scenery of a peaceful English countryside on the road between Hadleigh and Ipswich. Her boyfriend and a friend were riding behind her. As she approached a bend she wasn’t familiar with, the events took an unexpected turn. “The road surface wasn’t great, and I went into the corner too fast,” Melissa recalls. Within split seconds, her motorcycle lost traction, and she low-sided smashing to the ground and sliding quickly.
The events that followed are every rider’s nightmare: “I slid down the road, headfirst into a high curb, and landed in a field on the other side of the road,” Melissa recalls the events of the accident. The motorcycle followed her path flipping a few times and falling down in the same field next to her.
