An innovative and fresh base layer design tailored specifically for women: meet the Pando Moto Bia Grey.

Drawing inspiration from the bestselling Commando UH Black, this double-layer bodysuit is contoured to fit the female form. It offers versatile styling options along with high-level protection, able to be worn on its own, under a t-shirt or jacket, or layered over a singlet.

Crafted from Baltistex and Cordura mesh, the Bia Grey Pando Moto bodysuit is breathable yet strong. In fact, Baltistex is 15 times stronger than steel, while also being lightweight and highly efficient at conducting heat. These properties, along with the strength of the Cordura mesh, contributed to the suit achieving a CE Level AAA rating (EN 17092-2:2020).

Impact protection is important for motorcycling, so CE-approved armor has been incorporated into the Bia Grey body suit. The elbows and shoulders are protected by D3O® Ghost™ CE Level 1 (EN1621-1:2012) protectors, and for additional protection, a lightweight back protector like the Quatroflex CE Level 2 can be added.

The use of gray in the design isn’t just a stylistic choice; it also reflects more sunlight than the Bia Black. This cooling effect, along with the heat-conducting nature of Baltistex and the breathability of the Cordura mesh, helps keep you comfortable during warm-weather rides.

FAQ

What is CE AAA certification, and how is it tested?

Under the European safety standards, motorcycle garments are assessed against the EN17092-2:2020 standard. Those that meet the criteria are then given a rating based on the performance, with Level AAA being reserved for garments that offer the highest level of protection. 

The testing process includes: 

  • Abrasion resistance testing to simulate sliding across asphalt 
  • Tear strength tests to see how much force it takes to rip the fabric 
  • Pressure tests on the seams 

Like all Pando Moto protective wear, the Bia Grey underwent CE testing; it was rated Level AAA. 

Can I wear the Bia Grey under a jacket or as a standalone layer?

You can wear the Bia Grey under a jacket or as a standalone layer; the choice is yours. 

How do I choose the right size if I fall between measurements?

How should I wash and care for the Balistex® fabric and armor inserts?

To start, remove the D3O® Ghost™ CE Level 1 armor and the Quatroflex CE Level 2 if you have it. These can be wiped down with a damp cloth and left to air dry.

Pando Moto's Balistex base layers can be hand-washed or turned inside out and machine-washed on a gentle cycle. During the cleaning process, use cold or lukewarm water and a mild detergent; avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or fabric softener. Once clean, leave the body suit to air dry at room temperature in a shaded space.  

Will this base layer keep me warm in cold weather, or is it designed for summer use?

By itself, this Pando Moto women's body suit is perfect for summer riding because it's breathable and heat-conducting. When things start to cool down, though, the low-profile design means it can easily be worn under a jacket to keep you warm.

All in all the fabric is great and feels protective, however the fit was not great for me, as it lifts at the shoulders and is a bit loose around the arms and waist. I also have trouble with the snap lock digging into my skin when riding Unfortunately, the tag fell off when I tried it the first time, so I will have to resell it. I'm sure it will be great for someone with more narrow shoulders.

First of all the Design is very pretty and the Main reason way I wanted to try this body.

It is rather expensive for what it is.

I must say that everything seems like it has a high quality. It is well made and no sewn part ripped when I tried to get out after a hot summers day. The body has a AAA rating, but is also made with Lycra which I do not understand. Polymers can stick to the skin if they heat up. They actually burn themselves in your flesh and skin if you fall and slide on the ground. Also the chest part is made out of net. Therefore I always have to wear something like a top underneath because else way anyone could see my breast. This feature is quite pretty, but if you somehow land on the front (handlebar) of your motorcycle this design is really really bad. Normally you would anyway wear something above it (like a leather jacket).

As mentioned the design is super pretty and everything stays in shape. The grey is more like a silver and therefore better than shown on the pictures. The protectors sit well. The material is quite stretchy but also strong. Very nice! The body is closed with this super cool closure which really stays in place. On my body the lower part does not sit perfect, because, well, the material goes right to the middle part of my bottom. Not super comfy but it works! I really feel flexible and the body does not heat up so quickly! I really do like it! It dries fast and has almost no scent when you sweat. It still had a strange polymer scent when I packed it out, but it was gone in hours. The zipper could be a bit wider so it is easier to grab.

In my mind this body is amazing and I like it very much. I think it should be like 50-80€ cheaper, since there are still some minor points which do not really feel worth it. All in all I am satisfied and it is as expected.
