Comfort and strength combined
Previously reserved for military and law enforcement personnel, Balistex is a new generation UHMWPE fabric that’s 15x stronger than steel, now available for use in motorcycling apparel. PANDO MOTO has chosen to incorporate power-stretch Balistex into each of the protective motorcycle base layer designs due to its light weight and impressive durability, strength and abrasion resistance.
Rather than being moisture wicking, Balistex is a heat conducting fabric. This unique property means these are cooling layers, making them perfect for summer rides.
Every design has a low profile allowing for unrestricted movement, and the inclusion of elastic fabrics means a snug yet comfortable fit. This is particularly true of the women’s long sleeve bodysuit. As a result of the form-fitting cut, you can comfortably wear this style of riding gear underneath a pair of motorcycling pants and a jacket in winter, allowing you to retain body heat in the cold.
All of the women’s motorcycle base layers come in XXS through to plus sizes.
Lightweight yet durable protection
Despite being lightweight the PANDO MOTO base layers are durable and protective, able to take the place of a protective motorcycle shirt or protective motorcycle pants. For the tops, the elbows and shoulders are protected by CE-certified D3O® LP2 armor, and there’s the option to add a piece of QUATROFLEX back armor. Meanwhile the leggings have SAS-TEC TripleFlex CE-approved hip armor protection and knee armor protection, strategically placed like a standard pair of women’s armored motorcycle pants.
Each of the ladies motorcycle layers are CE Certified and comes with a two year warranty, as well as the PANDO MOTO lifetime crash guarantee.
Added functionality
Various additions have been made to improve the overall functionality of each design.
To aid in ensuring the layers stay in place, some designs have incorporated silicone elastic tape at the hem or loop straps for the hands and feet. The body suit has a low profile snap closure that mirrors the design of normal streetwear.
