Description

Functional and stylish, the minimalist cargo pant design of the Mark Black AAA looks good on and off the road.

The next generation of the Mark Kev 01, the Mark Black AAA armored motorcycle jeans, are made of Cordura denim with Coolmax technology. Cordura looks like normal denim but is extremely durable with high abrasion resistance, while the Coolmax technology helps wick moisture away from the rider for greater comfort.

Unlike past versions of this design that used Kevlar for the inner lining, the Mark Black AAA has Balistex. Incorporating Balistex has boosted the jeans from a CE Level AA up to a CE Level AAA+ protection, no surprise given this lightweight, heat-conductive material is 15 times stronger than steel.

If you’re in an accident, it’s likely you’ll experience an impact on your knees and hips. These jeans are prepared for that scenario, offering high-level impact protection. The knees have armor pockets adjustable to two levels for the included D3O® Ghost™ E/K armor. The hip pockets come fitted with D3O® Ghost™ S/H. Both forms of armor were chosen because of the high levels of protection they offer riders.

Taking a closer look at the design of these cargo-style motorcycle jeans, they’re double-layered with a high waist. The pockets feature flaps that are secured with snaps, and the placement was chosen with comfort, functionality, and style in mind. In front of the pockets are ventilation zippers, a subtle inclusion that allows for maximum airflow.

The Pando Moto Mark Black AAA cargo jeans are understated yet functional, offering high levels of slide and impact protection. Find yours at the Pando Moto online store or your closest Pando Moto retail partner.

FAQ

What is Balistex® and how does it compare to Kevlar?

Balistex is an advanced combination of spandex and an Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber. The resulting fabric is light-weight, flexible, yet 15x stronger than steel and highly abrasion resistant. By comparison, Kevlar is stiffer and less breathable, although it still offers good abrasion protection.

What is the difference between AA and AAA motorcycle protection ratings?

AA and AAA are both CE safety ratings under the EN 17092 standard. Level AA jeans offer a high level of abrasion and tear resistance that's suitable for regular road riding and commuting. CE Class AAA is the highest rating available, providing maximum abrasion resistance.

The Mark AAA jeans are CE Level AAA.

Are AAA-rated motorcycle jeans worth it?

AAA-rated riding pants, such as the Mark AAA jeans, are worth it if you regularly ride at higher speeds, do long highway trips, or want the highest possible level of protection.

Can I remove or upgrade the armor in these jeans?

The D3O® Ghost armor that comes with the Mark AAA jeans can easily be removed from the pockets - in fact, it's necessary when washing them. You can upgrade or replace these protectors at will, just ensure the new armor fits correctly inside the pockets.

Are these motorcycle jeans suitable for long-distance or touring rides?

The Mark AAA jeans are designed to be comfortable for longer rides. The Balistex lining, Coolmax technology, and ventilation zippers in the Cordura jeans work together to keep the rider cool, and choosing the correct fit ensures they don't feel tight or restrictive.

Absolutely the best pair of riding pants I’ve owned! Plan to buy another pair or two 🤙🏼

Comfortable, little bit heavy with the protectors, but perfectly fine to walk around. I wasn't sure if I needed the cargo pockets, but now I use them all the time. It's possible to fit them over height boots, but it's very tight, so I would recommend to wear them with ankle shoes.

Expensive, but these are the best motorcycle pants that I have owned.
