Description

Lightweight. Strong. Stylish. The Commando UH Black ticks all the boxes. Able to be worn by itself or under other clothing, it offers the highest level of motorcycle protection around.

The ultimate lightweight motorcycle jacket, the Commando UH Black is perfect for summer riding. It is made of power-stretch knitted Balistex® fabric with Cordura® mesh integrated into the chest and inner sleeve areas. This combination of heat conducting fabric and ventilation ensures optimal airflow, creating a breathable mesh jacket that's comfortable to ride in.

The Commando UH Black mesh jacket is fully CE approved performance Level AAA motorcycle gear, in accordance with the EN 17092-2:2020 standard. This means it has high tear and abrasion resistance. The jacket comes with D3O® LP2 CE Level 2 elbow and shoulder armor included, and you also have the option to buy Quatroflex CE Level 2 back armor separately, if you are looking for additional protection.

A unique style of motorcycle jacket, the Commando UH Black can be worn alone, on top of a light T-shirt or under any other jacket, providing the main layer of defense. You can find the Commando UH Black base layer at any Pando Moto retail shop or buy it online from the Pando Moto store. If you'd prefer a different color don't worry, there's also the Commando UH Grey.

FAQ

Does the Commando UH stay in place during a fall or sudden stop?

A well-fitting Commando UH Black mesh jacket will stay in place during an accident or fast stop due to the power-stretch Balistex® fabric, which ensures maximum safety while allowing unrestricted movement. The bi-stretch material keeps the CE approved armor pads in place despite your body movements, so you know you're protected.

Should I wear a T-shirt under the jacket in hot weather?

One of the beauties of the Commando UH Black is the flexibility it gives you to choose what to wear. If you want to wear a t-shirt under the jacket, you can, but thanks to the AAA rating and stylish design, you don't have to. It is completely up to you.

Can I wear the Commando UH under another jacket and still be protected?

You can wear the Commando UH Black under another jacket without worrying about it lowering your protection. The outer garment may not have the same abrasion resistance or tear strength as the Commando UH Black, but if it's torn or destroyed the Commando UH Black underneath acts as a backstop, offering protection from abrasion and impacts.

Is the airflow still good at low speeds or in traffic?

This depends on your speed and the wind, but even if there's less air flowing through the Cordura® ventilation mesh, you still have the Balistex® sections of the jacket which are highly heat conducting.

Which back protector fits the Commando UH jacket?

Quatroflex CE Level 2 back armor fits the Commando UH Black perfectly. You can order it from Pando Moto when you initially buy the jacket or later on, whichever you'd prefer.

My favorite piece of gear hands down

I’m 6’ 170lbs with large shoulders and it initially felt very snug under the armpits. After reaching out to the support team they advised to trust the break in process and I’m so glad I did

Oh boy is it comfortable. 100° is the warmest temperature I’ve used it in and it’s amazing with a white cotton tshirt over it. When it gets cooler it feels amazing to ride in a comfortable hoodie knowing you have AAA protection . Wore it under the rain yesterday and it handled just fine as well

The fact that you can just comfortably wear whatever you want over it is such an underrated feature
Mobility is excellent, and the fact that it’s so light definitely helped with back and neck soreness. Feels like you’re wearing no gear - very satisfying

As other reviews mentioned - it would be nice to have a method to prevent the jacket from sliding up. The waistband feels secure when tucked in pants with a belt but more could be done in that department

A must buy, will be getting the pants next 👌

Super Qualität. Sehr luftig. Wie sehr sie bei einem Stutz schützt, konnte ich noch nicht testen 😉.

I used to wear a Cortech jacket, and now I have moved over to Pando Moto.

I was looking for something light, breathable, and something I can layer up in the cooler/colder seasons. For reference, I am a male at 5' 8.5" and have a rather large gut (in other words, I'm fat).

When I was a bit slimmer, I used to wear shirts and hoodies in a large size.... but as I got bigger, I am now between sizes, usually preferring an XL.

With motorcycle gear, I can still fit into a large, but it's pretty snug. Looking at the PANDO COMMANDO jacket, it definitely looked like a slim fit, so I opted for an XL to play it safe.

The XL size fits perfectly; the arms/sleeves do feel a smidge long, but they settle after moving around on the bike. I was wearing a Dri-Fit shirt underneath this jacket and a heavy hoodie over the jacket on a 92-degree (Fahrenheit) sunny day. I will say that this jacket is definitely breathable, flexible and comfortable, after you get used to how snug the jacket hugs you (not unconfortable, I'm not used to this kind of material).

Wearing the jacket by itself with a shirt on underneath, you can still feel the rock and backpack straps hit your body every time you are out on a ride. With another layer above it, maybe a light jacket or light hoodie, you shouldn't have these issues.

The jacket fits well and is not uncomfortable at all. I was able to take a 1.5-hour nap at home, wearing this under blankets (with all CE Protectors), and did not even sweat one bit. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to layer up and dislikes wearing heavy leather jackets.

I do wish this came with the back protector, but if you are wearing a backpack most of the time, I think you should be fine.

As for any flaws: It can be a little more snug than preferred, but I got used to it within the first couple of hours.
