The Karldo Slim Black are best for hot weather riding as they’re single layer with Coolmax technology and mesh ventilation details. That said, they could easily be worn when temperatures drop if paired with a warm riding jacket and perhaps a base layer.

Can I wear these jeans off the bike without looking like I’m in riding gear?

Are the knee and hip armors removable?

The hip and knee armor are inside integrated pockets and can easily be taken out of the jeans when you want to. The knee armor is accessible from the outside while the hip armor is accessible from the inside. You may want to remove them for washing or to wear the jeans casually, but make sure the armor is reinserted before heading out on a ride.

How do I wash or clean these jeans without damaging the armor or fabric?

It’s best to wash the Karldo Slim Black riding jeans gently, in cold water, with a mild detergent. Make sure you remove the armor first, and that the jeans are completely dry before reinserting the armor.

Can I upgrade the included armor to a higher protection level (CE Level 2)?

The pants come with SAS-TEC TripleFlex CE Level 1 (EN1621-1:2012) but if you want to upgrade it’s possible, as long as the new armor is compatible with the pockets. The SAS-TEC SC-1/KA2air CE Level 2 is available separately from the Pando Moto online store.
